Your Profession Can Carry the Gospel to the Cities That Need It Most
GLS equips bi-vocational missionaries to serve the unreached through their work and calling.
Our History
Decades of Sending Professionals to Closed Countries
GLS was founded by leaders with deep experience mobilizing students and professionals for global mission. The founding vision was direct: send skilled professionals into the cities of the 10/40 Window where the gospel has not yet taken root — not despite their careers, but through them.
Across decades of field work, that vision has never shifted. GLS has built a network of missional professionals across business, technology, education, healthcare, and social enterprise — people who didn't leave their careers behind, but took them to the frontier.
Your profession is not an obstacle to mission. It is the way the gospel enters cities that would otherwise remain closed.
The Mission Model:
Work as Mission — Your Career Is the Key
Many Christians carry a quiet tension — a sense that their career and their faith are running on separate tracks. GLS exists to close that gap. Work as Mission makes your profession the point of entry into cities across Asia and the Middle East where the gospel has little or no presence.
Professionals from every field—business, technology, healthcare, education, the arts, and more—take their careers to the frontier. Their work opens doors, and their relationships create opportunities for gospel presence.
Who we Send:
Every Field Has Cities That Have Not Been Reached
GLS welcomes professionals from a wide range of sectors — because every field opens doors that others cannot. The cities of Asia and the Middle East need exactly what you already do.
Entrepreneurs and business executives
Teachers and educators at every level
Technology and IT professionals
Healthcare workers and counselors
Nonprofit and social enterprise leaders
If your career gives you credible access to an unreached city, GLS wants to talk with you.
What We Believe
Our Faith Statement
GLS holds to the historic Christian faith. Our theological convictions align with the Lausanne Covenant — affirmed by the worldwide Christian community as a standard for evangelical mission in the modern world.
Our Impact
More than half the world lives in cities — the same cities where the gospel has the least presence. GLS's mission has always been city-based, sending professionals into the economic, educational, and cultural centers where the need is greatest. The network spans both sides of the Pacific, in partnership with scores of North American churches.

Testimonials
GLS mentors have proven not only to be great mentors but also wonderful friends. They have prayed for and walked with me during the hard times, but more importantly they celebrated God’s faithfulness in my life at all times. In many ways, they are the Christian parents I never had. I always thank God for their wisdom and love.
— Frank, Business Executive
I have known the founder of GoLiveServe since our student days and even then saw the passion for God and His global purposes, the depth of strategic thinking and the high quality leadership and pastoral care that he has brought to the formation of GoLiveServe. I trust GoLiveServe to provide the training and team support that enable professionals to follow hard after Jesus to serve.
— Donna Dong, Multi-Ethnic/Multicultural Ministry Director, Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship of Canada
The Holy Spirit is constantly showing His creativity in new forms of mission in our changing world today. GoLiveServe is an excellent example. It goes to the heart of the Christian calling to use all of the gifts and training we have received to serve the mission of Jesus Christ. In many ways it does exactly what St. Paul did, except that these 'tentmakers' have skills that he would never have dreamed of. I strongly endorse it.
— The late Paul E Pierson, former Dean of the School of Intercultural Studies, Fuller Theological Seminary
What If Your Career Was Always Meant for This?
GLS exists to help you live that out — wherever you are, whatever you do, and whatever city God is already preparing for you. This isn't about leaving your career behind. It's about using it with purpose in a place that needs exactly what you bring.

A tentmaker is a missional professional who uses their vocation to serve in an overseas city. Like the Apostle Paul — who funded his mission through his trade — tentmakers today enter cities through their careers and build gospel presence through their work and relationships. The career is the credibility. The city is the field.
-
Business as Mission is a model where a business venture is intentionally used as an instrument of God's mission. It goes beyond funding ministry. The business itself becomes a means of meaningful impact in the community it serves — through employment, commerce, presence, and relationships built over time.
-
GLS works with professionals in business, technology, education, healthcare, counseling, nonprofit, and social enterprise — among others. If your field opens doors in a city that has not been reached by the gospel, GLS wants to talk with you.
